Routine Foot Care - New Patient
Podiatry assessment for new patients
Service Description
Patient safety and infection control are top priorities at Valentines Podiatry. Only sterilised single-use podiatry instruments are used for all treatments and procedures. This ensures all tools are free from bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms, reducing the risk of infection. During your first visit, we will begin with a thorough new patient assessment to fully understand your concerns and foot health needs. The process includes; Initial Consultation: We will discuss your medical history, lifestyle and any specific concerns relating to your nails or skin (such as long, thickened nails or corns or verrucae and fungal infections) Examination: Your feet will be visually checked. Diagnosis: Any diagnosis and recommended treatments will be discussed with you. Treatment: Together we will develop a tailored treatment plan. This may include basic podiatric care such as nail trimming, ingrowing toenail, reduction of thickened nails, corn and callus removal, verrucae and basic footwear advice. Patient education and preventative care: In addition to immediate treatment, I will advise you on maintaining healthy feet and provide advice on preventing future issues, such as foot hygiene and footwear
